Understanding Of Arthritis, A Breakthrough

ype of white blood cells release histamine and serotonin during an allergic reaction, mast cells are also linked to the process of inflammation triggered when the immune system of an organism is defective and attack the joints.

Indeed, the mast cells are widely identified in the tissues arthritis. However, so far their operation remained mysterious.

Published in the journal Science, the work carried out by a team from Harvard Medical School on laboratory mice have helped to clarify the mechanism. This progress should allow for accelerated research on arthritis.
